Hannah Poem by Penni Currie

Hannah

Your eyes dance, they shine so bright
your face a picture of pride
As you gaze on this face of innocence
She smiles and opens her arms wide
You tenderly caress her
You wipe away a tear
She snuggles in much closer
You love to hold her near.
She reaches out to touch your hair
You turn to her and smile
A tender kiss and a cuddle
you whisper 'I'll be back in a while'
She closes her eyes and drifts into sleep
You stand and gaze in wonder
baby Hannah so small, so sweet
And you, the proudest father.
