Hallucination Poem by Heaven and Earth

Hallucination

Rating: 5.0

You and me together on the front steps
Hand in hand conversation in depth
Reminiscing on the good and bad times we had together

It’s twelve o’clock at night
I hold you tight
Staying together for warmth

You’re cold and stiff
Like a boulder
You rest your head on my shoulder

And you close your eyes

I give you my jacket
Only because I gave it to you I won’t miss
As I button it up you hear click click click

I look at my clock
It’s very late
Though we’re having a wonderful date

I drive you home
Walk you to the porch through the mist
Then you give me a goodbye kiss

My alarm goes off
Ring ring ring
I sigh to myself saying
“It was just a dream”
