Half Of Myself Poem by Alexander Romanov

Half Of Myself

Under the night's fire, beneath the moon so bright,
The dark forest cloaked us with green leaves in sight,
I kissed you by the flames, the night's warm embrace,
And gave you half of me, in that tranquil space.

A distant star, its light so far, and the birds' sweet song,
Filled the air with magic, as we stood there long,
You gazed into my eyes, and softly spoke your heart,
Though doubting my words, you couldn't keep us apart.

What's been forgotten, what has now passed,
You waved your turquoise scarf as I left at last,
I kissed you by the flames, the night's sweetest desire,
And you kept a part of me, that still burns like fire.
