Haiku Series Iv: Cardinal In Winter Poem by Lillian Susan Thomas

Haiku Series Iv: Cardinal In Winter

Rating: 5.0

snowing again?
or just pine boughs too full
lightening the load?

cardinal pierces
gray frozen morn with shrill chirps,
bouncing pine to pine

red blade of crest
and scissors of wings
cut through fog and ice

These are so nice, all three create a sharp picture in my mind! And I love cardinals!
