Guess Who....Stayed Home....Election Day Poem by James B. Earley

Guess Who....Stayed Home....Election Day

....Worrying...one's self sick
Trump's SCOTUS pick...
Recalling staying home Election Day
....Now...moan and groan
Fearing the unknown.....
Indecisions....now hell to pay

....But come the morrow
Never owning we borrow....
Historically we've found a way through
....Politically holding our nose
Angst comes and it goes.....
Ain't nothing a damn thing new

Our drawers all twisted
...Panic......revisited
The world keeps on spinning and then
....Knowing we've always survived
Life....long we've despised...
So just let this new bullshit begin

...Why....moan and groan
Fearing the unknown....
Indecisions our own hell to pay
....Worrying one's self sick
Over Trump's SCOTUS pick....
Guess who...stayed home....Election Day
