Grip The Ship Poem by Dorothy Kardas, Psy.D. Th.D.

Grip The Ship

drip, drip, drip
who will stop persistent drip?
half-truths, inventions
divorced from truth,
shameless deviations,
calculations to preserve
made-up prestige,
unearned status,
the sane ones
cannot bear any longer
foul flatus,
constant manipulation,
starvation of souls.

drip, drip, drip,
who will save
once glorious Ship?
adding a drip of toxic sip,
drinking poison
with each hasty sip,
daring to befoul
what's perpetually
unfallen & unmixed,
dirty claws - cease correcting
what wasn't meant
to be fixed!

losing position of control,
sailing aid, guiding helm,
robbing of Grace, steady souls
from paradisalm realm,
stolen leadership,
the steering gear of a ship.

drip, drip, drip,
who has the grip to save the Ship?
drip, drip, drip,
who has the grip of sinking ship?
who has the grip?
save, save, save, the Ship,
recalling the echo
of the Master's
Whip...

Be gripping
at all times
Truth sipping!
