Great Australian Wave Poem by Don Stratford

Great Australian Wave

Rating: 5.0

You can do it in the garden
You can do it in the bar
You can do it at the barbie
You can do it in the car

You can do it at the beach
And you can do it out the back
You can do it almost anywhere
Including on a hack

You can do it walking by
Or you can do it on the run
You can do it sitting by a lake
But let me tell you it’s no fun

It’s a pastime that you cannot dodge
To wave your arms and curse and cry
It’s called the great Australian wave
To shoo away that pesky fly

*chuckles* Funny indeed! Awesome poem, great and far from dull. *smiles* ~Cat

Very funny...but what about the 'mossies? ' That's another poem, I guess. This is quite well done. Raynette
