Granny Greenwald Poem by Kelvin Rush

Granny Greenwald

We're all born to suffer
That's what Granny Greenwald said
One minute we're struggling to make ends meet
The next we're stone cold dead

Granny Greenwald died aged ninety three
She must have suffered so much
If I know Gran she'll be thinking of me
Desperate to stay in touch

We're all born to suffer
That's what Granny Greenwald said
I agree with Gran I've taken all I can
That's why I can't wait to be dead
