Grandmom Poem by amos nyakundi

Grandmom

Grandmom, i hear you now
I hear you calling from the bushes
I hear your joy, laughter and mercy
I see you but i cant touch you

Grandmom, i can see you, i feel you
I wish i can cross this river of pain
The pain that you left me with
The pain of agony and headache

I have traveled all alone this far
I have crossed thorny roads alone
I wish you can be here with me
Life is painful and hard

Remember grandmom that i love
I loved you yesterday and today
Soon i will be there dont cry for me
Don't feel sorry for me for am okey.
