Grandma's Smile Poem by Ima Ryma

Grandma's Smile

Grandma was old and nearing death.
The family stood 'round her bed.
Eyes open and in gasping breath
She told us not to cry, instead
To smile about the lives we shared
Through all the good times and the bad.
All together we loved and cared,
Whether happy or whether sad.
She said that all that happened be
A blessing for us one and all.
And she had faith in future, we
Would reunite when God would call.

Death took Grandma in a short while,
And she did leave us with a smile.
