Grace After Meat Poem by Rees Prichard

Grace After Meat

Thou, that feedest ev'ry creature,
Whether tame, or wild by nature,
Receive our prayers, who humbly own
The plenteous goodness thou hast shown!

'Twas thou, O Lord! - that fed'st us all,
E'er since our birth, both great and small;
For which vast bounty to us shown,
We gratefully the favour own!

To quench our thirst, no fountains flow -
No bread we have - no strength to go -
No light to see - no pow'r to rise -
But what thy bounty, Lord! supplies.

Therefore to thee, for food and health -
To thee, for plenty, peace, and wealth -
To thee, for bliss and joys in store -
To thee, be praise for ever more!
