Government Shutdown Poem by Leah Ross

Government Shutdown

hours away we are from it
as the dead line looms large
senators scrambling votes being tallied
will it won't it might be a good thing
how ironic no one can agree
that's the way politics work
wonder who's fault it will be
democrats will be pointing fingers
hence the finger pointing starts
