Goofball Poem by Lee Fones

Goofball

When I was much younger
I'd always wanted to be
Someone with power hunger
Not watching daytime TV

Wanted to the best I can
Like a professional footballer
Don't like being this con man
People call me goofball*

I sit down all day
In my jogger bottoms
And with the ladies play
Causes many, many, problems

Appeared on TV shows
Only for a few
Audience faces glows
When I tell them what I do

I want to start a new
A brand new fresh start
I'm fed up being a screw
And it breaks me girlfriends' heart

goofball*= a man who is a stupid incompetent fool
