Goodbyefriends,
We met here again and again,
Dined together like brothers and sisters
Like In a joint family,
Ate same dish, sitting in same chairs.
For three and half decades.
Slept under one roof,
Dreaming same dream,
As rain was beating drums on nearby mango leaves,
We woke up startled, and not so startled,
At wee hours, together,
When song birds sang
She sang to all of us,
Without discrimination,
Rather they sang in chorus.
Flowers bloomed, fishes swam,
Cranes looked on, squirrelshrieked,
Generations passed by.37 years, friends.
Good bye now.
Let us thank each otherfor
Everything, for all things.
