Good Day Dream Land Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Good Day Dream Land

Good day dream land
Here you are everywhere
Summer moods at command
On to enjoyment here
Yesterdays of winter’s deep
Gone to old memories
Nothing of dark to keep
Only new delight one sees

Moody songs dim shrine
Wilderness cold scene
Day to day in its shine
Of its abysses between
Are leaving for the bright
Of the new summer day
Goodbye dream old night
Here comes color to play

Gardens of green field
All that was over and done
Mending charms to yield
With new pleasures waken
Here you are day of sun
Filling the moment’s hours
Old scenes are on run
For the gratifying flowers
