Good Bye Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Good Bye

Who knows
When to bid adieu
Forever
Here this fear lurks everywhere
Every moment there is a blast
Or an apprehension of an explosion
The air stinks with the smell of gunpowder
The stench of burnt flesh too pollutes the air
There are marks of fresh blood
And stains in the forest and on the road
A few hearts boil like furnaces
The fire being ever blazing vengeance
That make the environment hottor
Horror sparks in every nook and corner
In between thankfulness for the day that passed secure and prayers for a safe future for my dear and near
is sandwiched my sleepless slumber
As fear lurks in my dream like a hungry tiger
So, let me bid you good-bye dear
Forever
In advance
I may not get a chance
As when I step out of my home
I can't say, " See you soon."
I can not give you any such assurance
