Good Against Evil Poem by Paul Warren

Good Against Evil

I turned and hid my face away
From the nightmares that would stay
I gathered myself whilst my strength built
Being determined that to the evil I wouldn't yield

And when I opened my eyes I found
The evil grew and I was no longer bound
So I stood toe to toe and looked in its eyes
Seeing it all without the usual disguise

We fought without seeing an end
For the justice I would always defend
When it could be seen the fight wouldn't finish
I fought on with the courage the dark would not diminish.
