Gods Of Imperishable Plastic Poem by Tom Billsborough

Gods Of Imperishable Plastic

Rating: 5.0

Their creed is greed,
The Gods of imperishable plastic,
Placing shelf life
Before the here-after
And corporate vultures soar
In wide expanding circles
Over the dead
And decomposing poor.
Only Woman's nurture
Can restore our ego-centric
And suicidal nature.
The waters rise,
The metronomic tides
Unleash disaster.
Faster! Faster!
The irony of faster
In greed's compelling creed.
Each deed a falling domino.
Let Women rule
And lead us to redemption.
