God's Children Poem by J.B. LeBuert

So the children of God proclaimed
"Prayer is how to get relieved
of the lie, with which you've been deceived
To ease your burdens and not feel pained"

The children of Lucifer stated
"Come with us, we're the path
There's no need to be hated
You must escape your God's wrath"

The children of God then said
"Ours is the way to everlasting life
Jesus comes before your friends and your wife"
The way of the devil is the way of dread

The dark horde mocked the children of God
"Follow their path and you'll die alone
You'll lie and rot underneath the sod
With us you'll have riches you've never known"

The path you take is your choice
You must listen to your inner voice
This discussion could go on forever
There's no need to be too clever

We know the right path, let's not be lazy
The gains you get by selling your soul
Is a pitiful choice and distressing goal
Turning your back on the Lord is crazy
