Glass Butterfly Poem by Lodigiana Poetess

Glass Butterfly

You think me your glass butterfly.
You tell me this, I always cry.
You say you fear I'll fly away,
but if you love me I will stay

You gave me wings and set me free
to flutter fly just as I please,
you trusted that I would be back
so set no rigid boundaries.

Just knowing that I have free will
and that my wings are strong,
just call my name, I'll be here still
I'm staying just where I belong.
