OH give me wings
to put upon my feet
to fly
across this ballroom floor

GIVE me grace
to make the angels smile
as they lead me
to Heaven for a while

GIVE me ears
to hear the music play
to embrace
what its author felt
when he stood upon
a mountain high
or when he heard
an unborn heartbeat sigh

GIVE me heart
to move with Freedom’s poise
that all can see
my soul
is filled with joy

GIVE me breath
to fill
my lungs with air
that I may feel
the glow
of rhythm’s flair

GIVE me DANCE
Oh LIFE
Just
GIVE me DANCE
