Girls, Poptarts, And Firetrucks Poem by Zachary Hoyt

Girls, Poptarts, And Firetrucks

I'm sailing a lonely sea
my emotional sail started to fail
when i know it cant get worse
a huge tidal wave is a about to disperse
i am in dispare
thinking my life is a curse
thinking why i was forsaken
then i started to shake at first
all of a sudden i saw you immerse

into these eyes i began to rust
not believing your touch
at first i didn't trust
seeing your eyes glance is my lust

at first i thought i was nothingness
but i knew you would help me never the less
all you did was look past my mess
now i loath for flourish
and now i live in your chorus
