Ghoul Scripture

In yesteryear and wars of days gone,
In the great fall of men,
Demons arose from the loamy soil,
Casting piercing shadows and damning the wretched.
One man stood atop a heap of dismemberment,
His soul blistering of chaos awakened.
His eye of deep red and black pebble floating in a sea of the abyss.
His mouth gaping, looking for naïve souls to swallow.
Hell raised behind the path he has chosen.
Perpetual torment plaguing all where he lays his bare feet.
In ravenous hatred the living saw no glint of peace.
And with maddening pain,
he scours the dark cold domain of the abyss,
seeking to purge and avenge his sullied soul.
In his rabid feat of pandemonium,
he has bested death in his own game,
and relieved him of his shining accolades and crowns he bore.
He then shackled the mighty darkness and tamed the monsters of chaos.
His eyes shimmering to break open the doors of heaven,
longing to tear open the skin of the angels that lazily fly about,
And feed upon their flesh.
This he wondered if it would atone and ascend his black soul.
