Get Off The Devil’s Train (2) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Get Off The Devil’s Train (2)

In Satan’s web man’s like a fly
We’re trapped yet still have breath
Most fail to seek for help on high
Until the point of death

Get off the devil’s filthy boat
Set sail from Satan’s realm
Call out to God to stay afloat
With Jesus at the helm

Though now hell’s galley seems yet cool
All flesh can eat at rest
But soon the flames will burn so cruel
On all at Satan’s breast

Yet most still yearn for Satan’s meat
Content to drink his brew
They hunger for their master’s treat
Like dogs lust after spew

It’s time to see the truth first hand
It’s time to see the light
It’s time for man to understand
It’s time to stand and fight

Get out of Satan’s car my friend
Take from his hand life’s wheel
No man can see what’s round the bend
It’s now the time to kneel

Arise today from Satan’s bed
Shake off the devil’s chain
Consider Christ God’s Lamb instead
Who died to take your pain

Get up and walk God’s righteous path
Get out through Christ and thrive
Get out and flee the coming wrath
Get out and stay alive.
