Geoffey Poem by Kelvin Rush

Geoffey

My step dad Geoffey has got off the ride
He'll be feeding his tomatoes on the other side
His final years weren't all that good
He was lost and lonely misunderstood

It was a gradual painful and slow decline
Heartbreaking to see the passing of time
Hanging on to nothing with one final breath
The soul of another irreversible death

Geoffey was a good man honest and kind
He was loving sometimes vulnerable deserted by mind
In the end it was a blessing an irresistible call
My step dad Geoffey will be missed by us all
