Gathering The Storm Poem by Ann Mckeeman

Gathering The Storm

with stunning precision
life's knife wielded
upon tender flesh...

so falls the night
so comes the dawn
stitching the tapestry
of all life...

balance found fully
equality revealed when
birth, death dance the waves of time...

so dawns the dark
shadows chasing tales
threads finding warp, weft...

(when will fall the rain
to urge the muddy lotus)

...the wind sings songs
amidst the trees as evening unfolds

(hearing their voices raised
brings sweet balm...)
