Gates Of Madness Poem by Cory Huennekens

Gates Of Madness

I knocked on the gates of madness, winding thoughts with no end
Voices not of peace but of trouble and tumult,
Delirium beyond the confines of the human psyche
Borders not meant to be crossed,
Don’t go there little brothers and sisters
They say that land is good, eat from it
No, run to the Lord
For away from him is lands with no land
Skies with no stars
A moon that smiles, a sun that weeps
And you will be convinced up is down
Left is right, and dark is light
Don’t tear down walls that keep out the hordes
Or pull down defense walls
Put your trust in the Lord, obey His will.
