Garud Purana: Preta Khand Poem by Somendra Gaur

Garud Purana: Preta Khand

In the Stygian Gloom,
Taller than his shadows,
He Stood.
With Lioness' Skin as cloak he stood,
Taller than woods,
He stood.

Crows were afraid to caw
He stood blank and Raw,
With Neck Scratched with a Paw
And a bleeding Jaw,
He Stood.
Taller than her Flaws
He stood,
Sharper than her Claws.
With his Right hand holding an Axe without Wood,
He stood,
With a psyche of Windlestraw,
The Assassin Stood.

Enshrouded Backstabbed,
Suffering more than a Man Should,
A Super-hero could,
The Warrior Stood.
Looking Like a Tree Walking with dead Roots,
Which Lost All it's Fruits,
Beyond the Evil and The Good,
He Stood.

Only the fragrance on the sheet
&
No Lover left to Greet,
The Last Hero of his Fleet,
The Warrior Stood Like An Afreet.

For One Last Time,
When No Demigod Would,
The Fallen Angel Stood.
