Fury Of The Hurricane Poem by Dorsey Baker

Fury Of The Hurricane

Hurricanes come and go
but they can hit
with a powerful blow
You don't want to be around
when the water starts to rise
and your house starts to fall down

Hurricanes mean business
and they don't play
when they come they
come hard-
better get out of their way
Lives matter!
property can be replaced
Remember its better to evacuate
if when a powerful hurricane
you are faced!

Very true and effective poem, Dorsey, which makes its intended mark. But an edit is in order: Last 2 lines should read, If with a powerful hurricane you are faced. The word when should be replaced with the word with (Prosaic instead of poetic reading: If you are faced with a powerful hurricane.)
