Full Moon Poem by Romeo Della Valle

Full Moon

Rating: 5.0

Bewitched by
The tranquility of the night,
The ocean remains
So calmed and you
Have descended
From the dark sky
To be close to me
And give light!

A thousand lovers
Every night you inspire,
A thousand secrets
You quietly hide!

There you are,
Magically seated
On your throne
Like a real Queen!

So close and yet
So far away
While my arms
Are too short
To hug you
And my lips too far
To reach yours!

There you are
In a pedestal
Standing alone,
Like no others
In the universe!

The whole night
Belongs to you
And so my heart
Oh my full moon
So beautiful, so bright!

Ocean remains calm and from the dark sky the reflection of moon ignites mind. The wonderful reflection creates interesting imagery. A brilliant poem is excellently penned.
