Frozen Heat Poem by Fallen Pieces

Frozen Heat

Rating: 5.0

I was drowning in a pool of nothingness
clutching and hanging on to emptiness
buried deep in my own skin
shutting everything from getting in
There was nothing to remember
nothing except the surrender
The noose made out of satin sheets
awaited at my trembling feet
Blotch out the sun and bring the night,
Sufficiently weary from the fight
Having questioned all my worth,
having questioned my birth
Desperate to encounter my hiding place,
that way I wouldn't have to see my face
My heart skips a beat; skip, beat, skip, beat...
and then the frozen turns to heat
It's my fury, my mechanical fury,
the one to lead my jury
No longer does it rain in my desert,
No longer does it bleed in my heart
For once I feel unscathed,
the ending of the fazed
It's my fury that's taken all my hate
and tossed it back at fate
Saying, 'Take this with you.
She doesn't need this sh*t.'
Smothering with crimson kisses
to scratching of the bleeding pleasures
Giving much without receiving
washing away all the deceiving
Dipping me in love's potions,
exchanging devoted emotions
I give myself entirely to my fury,
the one who leads my jury
