Frostbitten By Fire Poem by Oliver Coleman

Frostbitten By Fire

Rating: 5.0

I know when you are near
My bones turn to ice as my heart ignites
Your eyes are a shade of love
The compassion is to great for me to bear
I will stand up and meet your gaze, not in fear, but in admiration
We now share a perspective all our own
Your touch is a torch
Your fire is nothing less than bold
Behind your playful smile I can see the hurt
You lay down a blizzard of emotions
No one knows what to think
You are weak, yet I melt before you
A timid support, unyielding to the weight
I will carry you through the storm
Now I am the fire and you are the ice
I am your shield, at all costs
In the eye of the storm, tranquility has a certain trade
She comes out unharmed
I come out in pieces
She is the fire, I am the ice
I am the shield, she is the sword
