Gruen-The Color Green

In the realm of colors, let's sing of green,
A hue born from 'grunge, ' where life is seen.
From German roots, it sprouts and starts to grow,
A vibrant shade, in nature's grand tableau.

Freja's necklace, verdigris and bright,
A gem of green, a stunning, wondrous sight.
In Nordic lore, it gleamed with mystic grace,
A symbol of life, in a sacred place.

Imagine a world without this verdant tone,
How dull and sad, a life of monotone.
For green, it breathes in every living thing,
The heartbeat of Earth, in the joy it brings.

Through history's annals, green has played its part,
From ancient forests to modern works of art.
In Egypt, Cleopatra's lush, green Nile,
A symbol of abundance, life worthwhile.

In emerald fields of Ireland's rolling hills,
A promise of hope, as nature fulfills.
From flag to field, in flags of many lands,
Green stands for freedom, united hands.

The foods that grace our tables, green and fresh,
Nourishing our bodies, a verdant mesh.
From broccoli to spinach, peas to kale,
In salads, soups, a healthy tale to tell.

So, cherish green, the color of rebirth,
A symbol of life on this precious Earth.
From Freja's necklace to nature's grand design,
In green, our world thrives, a gift divine.
