From Six To Forever Poem by Richard Stamper

From Six To Forever

Rating: 5.0

For the past six years,
I have shed my tears,
But now you are here,
And I have no fears.

For the past six springs,
I've seen and done things,
That make my heart sting,
Now you make it sing.

The past six summers,
Lived out of Hummers,
Without you, bummer,
Missing my lover.

Through the past six falls,
Thought I'd lost it all,
On my knees I crawl,
Hoping you'd recall.

For six long winters,
All things would hinder,
My heart had splinters,
Was burnt to cinders.

For the past six days,
My heart's been ablaze,
Returning your gaze,
Here I'll always stay.
