Frigid Winter Wind Poem by Danny Speicher

Frigid Winter Wind

Frigid Winter wind, chilling to the bone
Oh, it never seemed all that bad last year
Never seemed all that bad when you were near
When I'd find your embrace when I got home

It's hard to believe the truth, even still
That the embrace I once looked forward to
When those bitter cold Winter days were through
Will never again ease this cold wind's chill

Each night I find myself dreaming of you
My subconscious not letting go the dream
Dreaming our love was as good as it seemed
And, that the dream dreamt was still coming true

My dear, how I long for your warm embrace
Longing still more for one glimpse of your face
