Friends Can We Be? Poem by William Ryan

Friends Can We Be?

Friends we may still try to be

But that is something they just can't see

It's always that they're still waiting

Or the past needs more debating

To just say things didn't work out

And move forward with what life's about

Seems like what we both need to do

It may be easy on us and you

Because no longer can we hear you cry

Yet we don't want to say a final Good Bye

So the friendship please don't resist

Let's still part with a hug and kiss

And when we talk or even chat

Keep it simple instead of where we're at

So that our energies can easily flow

Where it's headed no one can know

Believe it or not God's in command

No matter how or where we stand!
