Freedumb Poem by Poemahontas Poemadonna

Freedumb

Free of charge, from the backs of blacks
Gave the U.S. it's enrichment
Slave masters kept their plans in tack
Just read the 13th amendment

They took our freedom
We fought for liberty
They took our kingdoms
Then lynched us publicly

This American evil
Is not a new discovery
Black American people
Never made a recovery

They promised us reparation
After leaving the plantations
Instead, gave us segregation
What an evil administration

When we were united
We built paramids
Now that we're divided
Kids are killing kids

We hear 'go back to Africa
America was never for us'
Could Jesus be a replica
Of the Egyptian god, Horus

Christianity was given to blacks
During slavery
This insanity was only a trap
To make us lazy

Wait on Christ, is what the pastor said
But how? When faith without Works is dead

Religion really lock some minds
For them, death will be the key
Realize I was also blind
And dumb to think I was free

***Bible Reference***
Colossians 3: 22-25New Living Translation (NLT)

22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord.23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.[a] 25 But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

***The 13th Amendment***

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
