Four People Say… Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

Four People Say…

East and west
Then north and south
Directions four these
Thus four people say…

Walk from east
Arrive on east
Parallels converge
Curvaceous these

Fours apart
One line exists
A line that goes up
Vertically straight

Line upright
This, not to meet
On any point
Just valid or right

People wise
Say ‘line negate’
You need not agree
You can choose upright…

ps: your votes on your comment lines, please...

Now, here is something to really think about. I find you do a lot of dep thinking and come out with great lines as these. You give occassion for celebration of thoughts and this is what a true poet must and should do. Thank you for your contribution to humanity....arya

A brilliant write worth to ponder about. Very interesting and grips the reader from start to the very end. A one of a kind write.

A wise write, inviting and provocating to ponder deep, lines both visible and, do play some games with us, parallels do converge, when lines stand imperfectly. The four directions are there to make great room for us, upward mobility is indeed more desirable than horizontal one, a beautiful write with material for mental excercise!
