Forget My Name Poem by Christina L Johnson

Forget My Name

Rating: 5.0

You promised me that you would always be there and
never turn me away for you were my one and only
who helped me to erase the pain

As you watched me every single night, tipping my
glass with your poison flowing through my veins, you were
secretly laughing knowing the addiction of you was
so overwhelming, that if i was to leave you I would
come back screaming your name

I was the one who started this affair: I knew what you
were when i invited you in
you preyed on my weakness and embedded your
hatred deep into my soul

However you live in a bottle and you call me all day
I am not going to night oh dear God I pray

If I could leave you behind, my life would be rich
I love you I hate you oh please go away
I want you to forget you ever knew my name
