I'm having a bad heart day,
'cause it's starting without you.
Can't wait for it to be over,
so it can end close to you.

I wanna be there for you,
when no one else will.
Love you so much,
when trouble won't stand still.

Believe in you,
when no one else believes.
Hold you tight,
when everyone else leaves.

Stand beside you,
'cause I know that you're right.
Smother you in kisses,
when you lose that tough fight.

I wanna be there for you
to take the worry lines off your face.
Lighten the load
to get you outta that sad place.

Now driving down the highway
to who knows where.
Looking over your way,
as out the window you stare.

Wonder what you're thinking.
So serenely you gaze,
watching life passing by.
Searching for ever blue skies.

You saw something in me,
I just couldn't see.
Something in you,
made me sure that I knew -
I wanna be forever for you.
