Forever Poem by Corey Turnbull

Forever

Rating: 5.0

staring longingly at you
bear not to tear my gaze away
hinting the slightest clue
all night and day
telling myself i must awake
this dream shall i forsake
told it's all a lie
but i'm stonger than this
i promised i wouldn't cry
perservering on a single kiss
i've told myself
i shan't store my heart away on the shelf
but cast it out
and to the world i'll shout
everything and all
but only the truth
into love's trap i fell
tey still in my youth
people say it can't be done
but love is when you find that special one
that makes your stomach flutter
and melts the heart like butter
but the horror of that one being torn apart
is capable of destroying the heart
but the whisper of love is soothing
for i know you shan't be moving
because you're in my heart
that you've pierced deep and true
but my heart aches
but whether far or near
i won't be pushing you further
but bringing you nearer
whether here or not
you'll never be forgot
as i hold you in my heart
because this you're the most important part
slowly the pieces are fitting together
this i promise you're in my heart forever
