For You And Me Poem by Frank (Black) Blacharczyk

For You And Me

Fell in love I didn't know how,
How love turned me inside out
It isn't easy being me
Can't run away from myself
Tried but love hemmed me in
Love came to my rescue

Everyone wants to be a hero
A star, a god but there is only one God
He created this earth in six days for us
We ate with Him we may not remember
But we did
He ate with sinners and tax collectors
We were there one way or another
With every breath He took
With every bite with every drink
Every word He spoke

Time keeps ticking away
Like waves disappearing on the beach
Can never stay in one place
No matter how hard we try
The wind has a lot to say if we listen

Evil can look like an angel
Sound like a saint
But pound nails like a Roman soldier
We were there pounding each nail
Yet
Love spread out His hands for you and me
