For Us Poem by Anthony Joseph Erangey

For Us

Rating: 5.0

Please pray tell, Where have you found love to dwell?
For I have heard numerous locations, described well.
Invisibly hidden in the human heart,
Mystically aloft as the clouds, apart.
Some see it as a learning curve in youth,
as a stable platform, to know pure truth.
The pure joy of being in it.
Hugs, kisses, spirit.

Please pray tell, do we hunger for its spell?
A myriad of invocations, whispered and yelled?
Silently wished for in a forest grove.
The brightest bauble in a treasure trove.
Magnificent surrendering for one,
A selfless act for our daughter or son.
And there are none, no known limits..
Impossible to counterfeit.

Please pray tell, where is this eternal well?
Or is it an ocean, depressions, swells?
Then we must sail with cool waters of wind,
Or ash as embers when the fire rescinds.
Maybe we must spread this love, everywhere.
And into the eyes of a stranger stare.
Then with firm conviction, in truth say well,
I love you, as myself.
