For Someone Who Called Me Wise Poem by Sandra Feldman

For Someone Who Called Me Wise

I feel like an Owl,
With great big eyes,
The better the World,
To scrutinize,
You said I was wise,
But how do you know,
I know my head,
From my great big toe.

However, very grateful for such A Compliment!

You see, the poem gives evidence of your wisdom, because the second half is an expression of humility (Are you sure I can tell my head from my toe?) and as countless thinkers have emphasized, the first step toward wisdom is knowing your limitations, appreciating the distance you must still traverse. In any case, that owl is equipped by nature with what he needs to fulfill his purpose, you must fulfill yourself through efforts, like writing this wise poem!

You are wise in so many ways. Pure compliment and remember owls are majestic and mysterious creatures.
