For God's Sake Leave Poem by Linda Hepner

For God's Sake Leave

Rating: 5.0

For God’s sake leave then,
Since you said you’d go
Just turn your back and walk away, you will
Find your fortune elsewhere, and you know
That soon after you leave
His thoughts will fly
And fingers follow, all the words
That he had saved for you
Will tumble from his veins
Like rivers down the falls,
Filling another willing lake
And he will dive
Into its lapping waters.

Love the imagery here, Lind, along with torrent-like flow of words driven, as they clearly are, by deep emotions. With warmth, Gina.

I love how the written language is such a lovely last resort. Wonderfully full and yet effortlessly succinct. -chuck

direct and elegant, Linda. Has a lot of impact, and as someone said, it is indeed a bold statement.
