Flight Poem by Jim O'Donnell

Flight

Runway lights go flashing by
As I fly up into the night sky
Leaving the earth far below
On my journey I do go

An hour or so passed by
Heading towards a thundrie sky
Flashing light far below
Clouds of silver glow

Fastening seat belt really tight
As the plane battles through the flight
The cabin lights start to flicker
Can’t the plane go any quicker?

Captain’s voice so clear and calm
Please do not be alarmed
We have some clear skies just ahead
So just lay back and have some rest
