Flashing Light Poem by sharmaine walker

Flashing Light

When life is moving fast, the clock ticks
Memoirs become faded
Your feeling are jaded,
wordering where your night took off
And where its gonna lead,
your eyes bleed from the scenery, and flashing lights
Your feeling are put on pause
And you can't understand the cause of it all
But when your left alone
And your mind is left to wonder
You began to think
The memoirs start to sink in
The pressure in your chest starts to release
And you remember where you took off
Flying so high, at such a fast past
You knew u was going get tired of
The things you admired
And want Sumthing real
But maybe your chances slipped
Away
with the drink u just spilled
