Flashbacks

When I close my eyes
I can see your face in my mind
I can smell your clone in the air
And I can feel you all around me

But with all things time sets in
And we see things in a whole new light

I open my eyes
And all I see are the white walls
All I smell is the crisp air
And all I feel is the emptiness

I walk down the road and all I see is us
The place were we shared our first kiss
The place were you held my hand
The place were you first said I love you

Now I walk down the road and see white
I see walls that got a fresh coat of paint
A bench that got warped by heat
And I see a doorway that you walked out of
