Flames Poem by Vaughn Bekker

Flames

Rating: 4.5

You dance around but have no beat
Giving off your burning heat
Swaying – lapping forth to and fro
Consuming all as you go

Your beauty and rhythm holds my gaze
Pushing forward, alls ablaze
Hunger that knows no fill
Wider you grow as if you spill

Devouring all that’s in your way
No choice – they have no say
Black and dark like burnt toast
Your path you leave as if you boast

this is great, it is so very descriptive while still leaving much for the imagination.
