First Grade School Poem by Bill Simmons

First Grade School

Rating: 5.0

She was a pretty little thing her smile was everything
Back in first grade school
I was so in love this puppy love stuff
Oh boy, was I so fooled

She would walk by I thought I would die
Every time I looked I fell into her eyes
I didn't know what this was I felt inside
I only knew an angel walked in life

All about love I didn't know enough
But my heart I had to give it up
Mama would say, You're just growing up
Don't worry son it's puppy love stuff

Now I am older and now I am wise
Have my own children have my own wife
Sometimes I think back to those days in life
When I knew an angel the first love of my life

All I knew of love I didn't know enough
But my heart I had to give it up
It sure was rough this first grade stuff
I wouldn't trade a memory of puppy love.
